My name is Edward Bramfeld. I used to be a successful Hollywood screenwriter. I really loved my life – until it became a real nightmare. First, my wife of twenty years left me for another man. Then while I was at the lawyer’s preparing my divorce, I had a stroke. Thanks to my lawyer, who called 911 fast, I didn’t die. But I did visit somewhere that I would define as hell. There wasn’t another world inside my head any more, the world of adventures that all the stories for my screenplays came from. It was all gone. There was only one world left, the one where I lived, the one that we call the real world. I was an author who had nothing left to tell. Desperate, I travelled to Australia, hoping an unusual landscape would bring my inspiration back. For months I travelled through that amazing country, without any result. But then in the middle of the remote region of the Kimberley, something happened. I heard an incredible story that fascinated me in a way I had never known before. This story became my new obsession. I wanted to know every detail of it. I was no longer an author who had lost his inspiration; I wasn’t a tourist interested in local stories; I was somebody else. I don’t know how to describe what I became, but I can say that my life since then has been a great adventure.
My first novel, ‘In the Name of the Kimberley’, is about the very spark that ignited the incredible journey that has been my life for the past two years. I invite you now to join me in this journey. The adventure starts here.
